73 Leaves - National Council of Voluntary Organisations - 2012
73 Leaves is an installation comprising 73 hand-embroidered actual-sized leaves. The original leaves were collected from Berlin, London, Edinburgh and Orkney. Each leaf represents a year in the life of Matilda Tumim's late mother, and is slightly elevated from the wall so as to cast a strong shadow. The overall appearance should be of a gust of leaves falling downwards or perhaps being lifted up into the air by a gust.
73 Leaves was installed in October 2012 for permanent display in the main lobby at the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) Regents Wharf, 8 All Saints St, London N1 9RL
